Early Childhood Referrals and Assessment Through Play

This interactive session explores developmentally appropriate expectations for PK3 and PK4 students, early childhood milestones, and strategies for communicating concerns with families. Participants will also spend time engaging with toys and play materials while learning how to assess communication, social-emotional, cognitive, motor, and adaptive skills through play-based observation. Attendees will leave with practical tools for supporting referral decisions and conducting meaningful early childhood assessments.
